Tim Foister joined Markel in August 2016 as an Underwriter in our Energy team, based in Singapore, before returning to London in August 2019. He began his career as a graduate trainee at Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) in their London Marine & Energy department in 2009. Subsequently he moved to Liberty Specialty Markets as an Assistant Underwriter where he was promoted to Underwriter in 2014 before moving to their Singapore office.
Tim holds a BSc (Hons) in Sociology from the University of Bath. He lives in Wiltshire with his wife and two children, plays touch rugby and enjoys eating out with friends in his spare time. His favourite book is ‘Lord of the Rings’ by JRR Tolkien.
