Rob joined Markel in July 2009 as a Senior Underwriter for Specie in our Marine & Energy team. He began his career at Bankside Underwriting (later QBE) in 1998 working on the Hull, War and Specie classes before joining Markel in 2009. Rob is responsible for the running of the Specie account in the London market. Rob has a strong broker network ensuring brokers and clients always receive an exemplary service. Rob and the Specie team have a longstanding, established and increasing market presence.
Rob holds a BA (Hons) in Politics from Loughborough University and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Rob lives in Surrey with his wife and two children, enjoying golf and skiing in his spare time. Rob also enjoys listening to a variety of podcasts.
