Ed joined Markel in September 2024 as International Casualty Claims Manager. He began his career in 2003 before moving to the Lloyd’s market in 2008. Ed has over 16 years’ experience in the Lloyd’s market, including spells at AXA XL, Mitsui Sumitomo and Zurich.
He is responsible for the International Casualty Claims offering, providing support to Underwriters, Brokers and Clients ensuring all Claims are managed in a proactive manner to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Ed holds a BA (Hons) in Politics from the University of Leicester and lives in Surrey with his two daughters. He enjoys playing golf, darts and walking in his spare time. His favourite book is 1984 by George Orwell.
