Daniel Lofty

Dan has been the Head of Claims Operations for Wholesale Claims since July 2022. He joined Markel in August 2015 as a Reinsurance Claims Adjuster. He began his career at SCOR, completing 12 years of service before moving to Markel. Dan has more recently transitioned into Claims Operations. With over 20 years of dedicated expertise in claims, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic leadership to the role. Known for a proven track record in streamlining processes, optimising efficiency, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, Dan has played a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing Markel's claims management landscape. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Dan continues to drive innovation and operational excellence in the dynamic field of insurance claims.

Dan has A Levels in Law, German, English Literature & Media. He lives in Essex with his wife and step daughter, and enjoys sports and travel in his spare time. His favourite football team is Arsenal.
