Carl joined Markel in April 2010 as a Senior Underwriter in our Trade Credit team. Carl began his career as a Credit Risk Analyst with London Bridge Finance in 1991 before joining the Compagnie Française d'Assurance pour le Commerce Extérieure in an underwriting capacity, working in London, Paris and New York. He subsequently moved to Ace European Group in 2004 in a Senior Underwriting role before joining Markel in 2010.
Carl is responsible for Markel’s Trade Credit, Political Risk and Surety teams.
Carl lives in Hertfordshire with his wife, spending his weekends dog walking, playing pickleball and watching rugby.
