Bryan Dressler joined Markel in May 2022 as a Senior Underwriter to lead the Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) team within the Professional Financial Risks (PFR) division. Having qualified as a lawyer in the US, Bryan started his career in insurance as a broker at Aon and then JLT specialising in public company D&O. In 2017, he transitioned to transactional liability with a focus on placement strategy, before joining Arch to lead their international W&I underwriting team. As Head of W&I, he has built the in-house underwriting team from the ground up, leveraging the insights provided by Markel’s 10 years supporting transactional liability coverholders.
Bryan holds a BA in Political Science and Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin and a JD from Georgetown University.
Bryan lives in West London with his wife and daughter, and watches highlights of American sports that are on way too late in London. He is a fan of all Boston teams.
