Brook (re)joined Markel in December 2019 as a Senior Underwriter in our Marine & Energy team, having begun his career at Markel in 2006, after spending five years at Pioneer Underwriters in their Marine Specialty division.
Brook has over 17 years’ experience in the Lloyd’s market. He is responsible for heading up the Cargo team and tasked with building on Markel's strong, historic foundations to realise marketleading status. Brook also writes some Cargo War, Terrorism, and Specie business to complement the wider Markel Marine offering.
Brook holds a BSc (Hons) in Construction Management, Engineering and Surveying from the University of Reading. He lives in Chislehurst with his wife and two children.
