Bhavik Desai joined Markel in 2013 as an Underwriter in our Professional and Financial Risks division. Bhavik’s career started in 2006 when he joined AIG through their underwriting graduate programme. He held various roles at AIG, including UK Construction Practice Manager and being responsible for their open market portfolio.
Bhavik joined Markel as an Underwriter in 2013 and progressed to Head of Professional Indemnity in 2016. Currently he is responsible for the management, oversight and profitable growth of our Professional Indemnity and Entertainment portfolios.
Bhavik holds a BA (Hons) in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham. He lives in Surrey with his wife and two young children. He enjoys casual conversation and long walks on the beach.
