Markel, Singapore, February 26, 2025 — Markel, the insurance operations within Markel Group Inc. (NYSE: MKL), today announced the appointment of Galvin Hu as Marine Hull and War Lead in Singapore.
In his new role, Hu will spearhead Markel’s Marine Hull and War underwriting strategy in Singapore, working closely with the broader APAC underwriting team to leverage his deep technical expertise and market knowledge. Hu joins from MS First Capital Insurance Limited, where he spent 19 years, most recently as Marine Manager – Head of Marine Hull Underwriting.
He will report to Wanshi Lin, Head of Singapore.
